The Broncos have a tough Week 4 matchup.
Let’s face it, the Kansas City Chiefs are by the far the most exciting team in the NFL right now. Patrick Mahomes has been proving why he should be the starting quarterback for the Chiefs and Denver will have a difficult time stopping the red-hot quarterback. However, Broncos’ fans shouldn’t give up entirely on Week 4 because anything could happen.
Kansas City has definitely given up quite a few yards this season, and the Denver offense is young but full of potential. If Case Keenum can keep the interceptions to a minimum then Emmanuel Sanders or Demaryius Thomas could have a breakout game. Don’t rule out Royce Freeman or Phillip Lindsay from making an impact for the ground game either. Freeman has 152 rushing yards while Lindsay has 198, definitely not a good sign for Kansas City.
However, the Chiefs can go neck to neck when it comes to offensive weapons. Mahomes has Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins, and Travis Kelce to spread the ball out to. Kelce is arguably one of the best tight ends in the game, a position Denver has had trouble defending in the past. Not to mention, Hill is basically a jack-of-all-trades who has terrorized defenses every time he’s on the field.
So who will come out on top? For now, Kansas City has a minor edge over Denver simply because it doesn’t seem like anything can stop them. Patrick Mahomes hasn’t even thrown an interception yet this season. However, Week 4 will certainly be a test for the young quarterback. Denver at home is no easy matchup, and the Broncos defense has always been one of the toughest in the league. It wouldn’t be surprising to see them come out on top, but we’re ultimately going with the Chiefs.
